GeoFest

  • Geography is Essential: Managing Water in Asia and Africa Students at Smitha Middle School embark on an interdisciplinary project this school year. Students will learn about the issues of water scarcity and the inherent challenges in managing this essential resource. While the focus is on the regions of Afria and Asia, students will also link these global issues to a local scale, connecting the greater world to their own community. Students will share their research findings and what they have learned with the community through a GeoFest. This project has been made possible in part by a grant from National Geographic Society Education Foundation.
