We began chapter 15 this week with a chapter survey. The children have been working on 2 column notes as well as labelling both the physical and political maps of the Middle East and North Africa.

Subject: JapanFest 2008 Poster Contest and YouTube Video Contest for Students
The JapanFest 2008 organizing committee would like to take this opportunity to inform you of two events with which your students might like to be involved. The first is our 2nd Annual JapanFest Poster Contest. Prizes will be given in two categories: Grades K-6 and grades 7-12 and all participants will receive 2 free tickets to JapanFest, Sept 27-28 at Gwinnett Center! Posters should be an original drawing with the theme “Kimono and the Japanese People.” Please see the PDF flyer at http://www.atlanta.us.emb-japan.go.jp/PosterContest.pdf for more details.
Additionally, for the more technically inclined, we are hosting a YouTube Video Contest for all Georgia residents. The theme of the video must be" Japan and Me." The winner will receive a special prize and will have their video featured on the JapanFest website. All participants will receive 2 free tickets to JapanFest Sept 27-28 at Gwinnett Center! School is not over!
We will be having an Open Book China test, April 30 and May 1.
Also, We will also be reviewing and preparing to test the China and Japan Map test more than likely the following week.
We still have material to cover, ladies and gentleman. We will be working until the last day.
Do Not Forget the new rules are in effect for the pod.
15/15 Bathroom breaks,
No Touching,
3 Tardies to class constitutes a Detention,
No Shorts,
No tanks or dress code violations being covered by a hoodie.
Also there is a Pod competition for an Ice Cream Sundae party for the pod with the best Attendance starting Monday for the CRCT. All I should have to say is GO POD A!!!!!!!

Look over your notes and book. The Social Studies portion will not be until Tuesday, April 29.
